Audition Script for Supporting Roles

This is a script we wrote for the actors/actresses auditioning for the roles of Nikki and Leo. We felt the original script didn't have enough of the characters in it to audition for the role and so we developed a more character based script.



 INT. KITCHEN - JAY’S HOUSE -- MIDDAY

Jay, Leo and Nikki are having breakfast at the table. Jay is staring into his cup of tea, phased out of the conversation between Leo and Nikki.
                                                       NIKKI
                                   Let me make you a decent meal Jay.
Nikki gets up from her chair.
                                                        LEO
                                   Are my cooking skills not good enough?
                                                      NIKKI
                                   Just let me cook from now on.
Nikki walks over to the fridge.
                                                        LEO
                                 Let Jay decide. Your always making decisions for him. 
                                 Like last night, you wouldn’t let him out.
Jay tunes into the conversation.
                                                        JAY
                                 I wanted to stay in last night.
                                                        LEO
                                We planned it for ages, yet she still made you stay in.
                                                        NIKKI
                                You don’t know what your talking about, you’ve always 
                                been a bad influence. All you ever wanna do is go out.
                                                        LEO
                               God forbid he has a bit a fun once and a while.
                                                       NIKKI
                               What’s that sposed to mean?
                                                       LEO 
                                Well...you know.
                                                      NIKKI
                                 No I don’t, explain!
                                                       JAY
                               Come on guys, stop fightin’.

                                                     NIKKI       
                         I know you’re his best mate and everythin’, but what do you
                          actually do for him? Nothing!                                                                                                        
                                                      LEO
                         I’ve been his best mate since school. 12 years. You’re just a 
                           phase, he’ll be done with you soon.
Jay slams his hands down on the table and runs out of the kitchen in anger.
