We began the third day in a christian bookstore, having a sit down interview with the bookstore owner and then with his daughter. Because we were indoors we had more time to get the exact shots that we wanted as well as the sound being of a much better quality. Both contributors gave great interviews which were in-depth, one revolving around Christianity and the other about jobs and how she helps people who have lost love. We were also allowed to get cut aways of the store, which would help us with setting the locations in the documentary.
11:00-Bond Street (Record Store)
Our second stop was the record store. The owner seemed reluctant at first but after a few questions he began to give some deep answers and has become one of our best contributors. We got a shot of him over the counter because customers kept coming in. We were lucky to get the footage we did because of how busy he was. The only problem we encountered was with his speakers, they played a loud humming noise and we are having trouble removing it from the clip. He didn't want many cut aways shot in his shop either so we took what we could and left him in peace.
12:00-Bond Street (Tattoo Parlour)
Our third and last location was a tattoo parlour which we managed to get access to and get an interview with one of the artists. The owner himself didn't want to participate but he was happy enough for us to shoot around the shop and interview one of his artists about what he loved. Another artist also let us get some shots of his tattoos which were interesting and individual. The artist was very passionate about his art and when he got going found it easy to talk about what love mean't to him.
Being in the shops I felt it was much easier to get a more aesthetically pleasing shot, but we found it more difficult to create the shallow depth of field we were looking for.
