10:00- Liverpool City Centre/Outside St Johns Shopping Centre
Outside St Johns was where we began gathering our fox pops. It took us around half an hour to set up in the correct position because it was a very bright day meaning lens flare was a particular problem. To attract more attention we also created a sign asking "What do you love?" which enticed people to come and talk to us. Lucky enough for us we managed to get around 6 contributors in that area before we moved on. The disappointing part of it was that we felt like we had to get the shots over with quickly not to aggravate the contributor and this mean't we didn't spend enough time arranging the shots as we should have, especially since many of the contributors refused to get so close to the camera for some of the shots. We aimed to get a range of contributors, we managed to get a young couple, an older couple, two sets of friends and elderly man within our first hour of filming.
13:00- Liverpool Docks
The second part of the day was spent filming at the docks. The weather stayed clear and bright which aided us in getting a warm feeling in our shots as well as a shallow depth of field. I felt that with these shots we thought about the composition much more and took our time which resulted in better interviews. Whilst on the docks we got several groups of girls of different age ranges along with a father and his children and two middle age best friends. All of the contributors we got were interesting to look at and complimented the shots, the only issue with the framing was the amount of people in the shot. The only problems we encountered was people trying to get into the film in the background, plane noises and nearer the end out XLR cable began to play up. After gathering the interviews we continued to film, gathering cut aways of the dock itself and of all the interesting and love relevant items we could find.
17:00-Liverpool Docks
We returned to the docks again to begin filming another time lapse, this time of the sunset over the sea line This took over two hours to film but luckily enough for us because of the perfect weather the sky was clear and we got the perfect sunset.
