Strange Lights Analysis

Strange Lights (2010) by Joe King and Rosie Pedlow was the most interesting and inspiring of all the films we watched in the showing. It begins with the clouds and sky being sped up to give a notion of time going past. Mixing shots of the sky and the snowy landscape with trees surrounding the area. The directors use rays of flashing light to surprise the audience and draw them into the video, giving a mysterious and abnormal tone to the video. This is enhanced by the high pitch screeching sound before and after the flashing lighting noise that occurs during the rays of light. The video is very abnormal, giving the audience hints that It may be something not from earth.
